I'm so excited and nervous.
I don't know what to wear.
I don't know what to take.
I don't know HOW we're going to get around in that crowd (I'm not great in large gatherings - say anything over five people).
I'm going to miss my kids way bad.
I'm worried about the dogs (they totally freak out when we're gone, even if someone is here).
But -- I'm still so excited about actually being there.

In your earlier post about Obama's Inauguration, you mentioned you are finally honored to be part of the United States. What a sad statement. I am proud to be an American regardless of who is in office. One of the best ways to show our gratitude to the men and women of the armed forces that protect our freedom (including your father and my husband) is to manifest that pride in our country. The office of the President alone could never have made this nation as great as it is today, without the pride of its citizens.
