Sleep and Nights - not connecting

So here it is, 2:22 am and I'm fully awake.

In my room, three dogs are sleeping on all three sides of the bed. Porter is on Thomas' side. He is snoring old dog snores and routinely, passes gas. Although I'm blind as a they come, I can actually see the gas cloud as it moves from the floor to the ceiling and then over to my side, which keeps me more awake than I was before the explosion.

Abbi, who sleeps at the foot of the bed on the floor, is sleeping the sleep of a pregnant dog who will deliver sometime next week. Her breathing is labored with at least five puppies pushing on her lungs (and I totally understand since I had a rock in me twice) and she flops back and forth, trying to get comfortable (again, she has my sympathies).

Clyde, the new puppy who sleeps in his crate on my side, sleeps the sleep of a puppy. Squirming and making sucking sounds from his nursing days (he is only 14 weeks), kicking the wire crate at times. For the past three nights he has been needing potty breaks every 2 hours, but so far he's been good.

My spouse, is freezing and needs about 10 blankets tonight and typical for a guy, somehow sleeps thru all this noise. However, the hardest thing is that he is trying to get next to me to warm up.

And me? Well, I am HOT.

Not just hot like warm summer day-hot or beachy swim-hot. Nope. I am the hot of an old woman; prickly from the inside out and not able to cool off no matter what I do. Not wanting a sheet on my body, let alone a blanket and FORGET the human body next to me.

Plus, I have poison flowing thru my veins.

Due to the fact that I could not contain myself, I ate three pieces of Little Caesars Pizza for dinner tonight and now I'm poisoned with garlic which will not leave my body for two more days. I not only have my lower gastrointestinal system jumping hurdles in the night, but my tongue is stuck to the roof of my mouth.

And all these things are keeping me from sleeping. I'm sure that sleep will come to me eventually ........... like 10 am or 2 pm when my body crashes.

There is always tomorrow.

I am always waking up through the night as Bob peacefully sleeps...what gives? Anyway, sorry for your lack of shut eye...I know it is not funny, but you are such a good writer and I could not help but chuckle at your descriptions.
